Here is what you need to do:
- At least 16 years of age
- Enroll in SCTA foundation course: Swimming and Water Safety Teacher Course
- Complete the online Theory component
- Attend and complete the Practical component — attain a "competent" grade
- Complete the Job Practical Supervision at an Aquatic Centre or Swim School (such as Fabulous Swim)
- Fill up and complete the Assessment Workbook
- Complete and get marked competent under an SCTA accredited assessor (Fabulous Swim can provide an assessor)
- Have an existing CPR and First Aid accreditation
